One project was to create a MySQL database, upload an Excel spreadsheet that was being used as a database, create a PHP application that replicated and automated the data entry of the parts listings, and also create an on demand PDF printing of shipping labels. The resulting application resulted in better data integrity, more users having concurrent access to the data, and the Project Manager was no longer required to spend approximately 8 hours per week maintaining the spreadsheet and creating shipping labels by hand.
